A hellebore in its winter moment, observed and translated into paper.
The blooms sit low and slightly turned, their colour shifting across the petals in quiet variation. This piece brings together open flowers and developing buds, shaped by hand and arranged with a natural, downward rhythm.
Deep green foliage moves between the stems, and the composition settles into a moss-covered base, echoing the feel of a shaded garden floor.
Freestanding and softly structured, it holds a quieter presence — more inward than showy, modest in scale at around 32cm in height.
Created as a one-off botanical study, this piece reflects the irregularity and individuality found in the plant itself.
Designed as a considered study of seasonal form, it carries the stillness of late winter — something to settle into a space and be noticed slowly.
