A magnolia branch carrying flowers from bud through to full bloom and beyond.

This piece follows the natural rhythm of magnolia as it opens and begins to fall, with blooms at different stages along the branch. Some sit fully open, others are just emerging, while a few begin to turn and drop, giving the branch a softer, more transient quality.

Each flower is shaped by hand, with subtle variation across the petals so they don’t sit uniformly. The blooms shift in direction — some outward, some dipping — creating a more natural, unstructured feel across the length of the branch.

The branching form allows the flowers to spread more widely than a single stem, giving the piece a quieter sense of movement. Designed to be placed in a simple vessel, it works as a more open, sculptural presence within a space.

Created as a one-off botanical study, it reflects a moment in the magnolia season where opening and fading sit alongside each other.

With a broader, more expansive form, the branch extends to approximately 59cm in height and 55cm in width, giving it a gentle but noticeable presence on a table, shelf, or mantel.

Designed as a considered study of seasonal form, it brings a softer sense of early spring indoors — something to place, adjust, and live with over time.
