A small gathering of pansies in yellow and deep purple, observed and translated into paper.
There’s a natural liveliness to pansies — their faces turned outward, their colours held in contrast. This piece draws on that character, bringing together warm yellow blooms and deeper purple forms, each shaped by hand with fine veining and gentle variation across the petals.
The flowers sit closely, as they might in a spring border, with buds just beginning to open and foliage layered beneath. The arrangement is set into a moss-covered wood base, giving the sense of a planted study rather than a formal composition.
Freestanding and compact, it carries a quiet brightness — a small lift of colour within a space.
Created as a one-off botanical study, this piece reflects the natural irregularity and individuality of the plant.
With a modest height of approximately 16–17cm, it is suited to a shelf, table, or smaller corner where it can be encountered up close.
Designed as a considered study of seasonal form, it holds the colour and character of early spring — an easy, familiar presence within a room.
